The Grand National Committee and the Joseph Schneider Haus National Historic Site invite quilt artists from across Canada to participate in their 2015 thematic exhibition.
May 10 - September 27, 2015
Joseph Schneider Haus Historic Site
466 Queen Street South, Kitchener, ON, N2G 1W7
The Grand National for 2015 challenges quilters to capture in their quilt art some design that suggests the theme of “Connections”. In our global community today, networking, linking and connecting have become more important than ever before. Technology helps us make long distance connections, bridges, highways and canals serve as physical connectors in the landscape but we also have filial, social and emotional connections to consider. Think what the touch of a quilt, hand-stitched by a loving grandmother can evoke.....
So think patterns... wires... iPhones .... trains....DNA....or Proust’s famous Madeleine cookie. But Connect with the Grand National and enter.
You are invited.
